TRC Gathering at NAGAREYAMA FACTORY
また同時に、流山工場はたくさんのワクワクに溢れた場所でもあります。スタッフが手際よく動き、美しく積まれていく紙の束、長年実直に働き続けた古い機械が見せる凛とした佇まい。油やインキの匂いが漂い、機械がガチャン、ガチャンと規則正しく音を発するなかで、職人が巧みに道具を使い、機械を動かして、真っ白な紙に鮮やかな印刷が施され、その紙が綴じられてノートになる。そんな姿は、見ているだけで胸が高鳴ります。私たち自身がそう感じるなら、きっとトラベラーズノートを使っている皆さまが流山工場を訪れて、それを体感したら楽しいはず。さらに使う人にとっては、創造力を掻き立てるのと同時にノートへの愛着を深めて、作る人には自分たちの仕事への誇りや刺激を与えてくれる、そんな出会いが生まれたら嬉しい。そんな想いで、このイベントを企画しました。
2023年10月13日（金）に、流山工場を訪れていただき、トラベラーズノートの生産現場をご覧いただくイベントを開催します。イベントでは、オフセットや活版による印刷から、断裁・箔押し、製本などの加工まで、トラベラーズカンパニーの製品ができあがるまでの工程をご覧いただけます。さらに、工場だからできるワークショップなども予定しています。

私たちにとって、工場見学イベントは、いつか開催したいと長い間、温めてきた企画です。コロナ禍を経て、流山工場スタッフの協力を得ながら、今回いよいよ実現できることになりました。初の試みのため、少人数での抽選という形での開催となりますが、ご応募いただけたら嬉しいです。
At the same time, the Nagareyama factory is a place full of excitement. The staff moves swiftly and efficiently, stacks of paper are beautifully stacked, and old machines that have been working diligently for many years have a dignified appearance. The smell of oil and ink wafts in the air, the machines clank and clunk with regularity while the craftsmen skillfully use tools and operate machines to apply vivid printing to plain white paper, which is then bound to form a notebook. The sight of such a work makes our hearts beat faster just by looking at it. If we ourselves feel this way, we are sure that everyone who uses TRAVELER’S notebooks would enjoy visiting the Nagareyama factory and experiencing it for themselves. For those who use the notebooks, it would be a great pleasure to have such an encounter, which would stimulate their creativity and deepen their attachment to the notebooks, and for those who make the notebooks, it would give them pride and inspiration for their own work. It is with this in mind that we have planned the factory tour.
On Friday, October 13, 2023, we will hold a event where you can visit our Nagareyama factory and see the production site of TRAVELER’S notebooks. During the event, visitors will be able to see the process of making TRAVELER’S COMPANY products, from offset and letterpress printing to cutting, foil-stamping, bookbinding, and other processing. In addition, there will be workshops and other events that can only be held at the factory.
For this event, those who wish to participate are invited to apply, and the winners will be invited to attend the event. Please see below for details on how to apply.
For us, the factory tour is a project that we have been warming up to for a long time, hoping to hold one someday. After the COVID-19 pandemic, we are now finally able to make it a reality with the cooperation of the Nagareyama factory staff. We will first narrow down the number of participants by lottery, but we hope that people will apply.
